ELECT NO MILLIONAIRES

Most problems are simple in nature and have simple solutions.

The problem, in this case, is that we have a Congress that is NOT representative of WE THE PEOPLE.

The solution is simple: ELECT NO MILLIONAIRES.

If someone is a millionaire, DO NOT VOTE FOR THEM. Let's send some regular people to Washington, DC. "Joe the Plumber" may not have the "experience" but at least he would be less inclined to raise taxes on people like himself. Look at the mess "experience" has gotten us into. Do NOT expect "experience" to get us out of this mess.

ABUSE OF POWER BY US CUSTOMS AT THE BORDER

I was stopped at the Lukeville Border station by the US Customs and Border patrol on my way to Mexico on Thursday, August 20, 2009. One officer was dressed in dark blue and the other was in full desert camo with an M-16.

Officer: Do you have any weapons?

Me: No.

Officer: Do you have any drugs?

Me: No.

Officer: Where are you going?

Me: Mexico.

Officer: What do you do for a living?

Me: I do not understand the question. (I was pissed off by this time. I am a US citizen and this is NOT Nazi Germany or is it?)

Officer: Open the hood and give us the keys.

They searched under the hood and in the back of my pickup but did not search in the cab. What a great search!!

Me: What is your ID number?

Officer: I will not give you my ID number?

Me: So you are not going to give me your ID number?

Officer: No.

I had already written down the name on his uniform.

If you do not think this is a big deal - THINK AGAIN.

Ever hear of the FOURTH AMENDMENT?

"The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized."

This was clearly an abuse of power because he didn't like my answers.

They had weapons, I did not. The playing field was not level.

Where I was going and what I do for a living is NONE OF THEIR BUSINESS!! This is AMERICA and we need to FIGHT FOR OUR RIGHTS OR LOSE THEM.

Government does NOT give you freedom, government takes your freedom away.

I called my Congressman and my attorney. This is not over by a long shot.

TAKING BACK MY COUNTRY TIS OF THEE

Here's what WE THE PEOPLE need:

1) Every ten years, we need to NOT pay taxes. The law should be changed so if your social security number has the same last digit as the year, you pay NO TAXES. No income, sales, property tax, etc.... Talk about stimulating YOUR economy.

2) A new form 1040 ALLOCATE needs to added. The first year, you get to decide where 5% of you taxes dollars gets spent. This will increase by 5% until it reach 50%. So you get to decide where half of your tax dollars get spent. Ditto for State and Local taxes.

3) Local government should receive the lion's share and Federal government should receive the least. Why are we sending more to Washington, DC?

4) We are not TAXPAYERS, we are slaves. They are TAX TAKERS.

545 PEOPLE vs. 300,000,000 By Charlie Reese

545 PEOPLE vs. 300,000,000
By Charlie Reese

Orlando Sentinel

Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them.

Have you ever wondered, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits?

Have you ever wondered, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes?

You and I don't propose a federal budget. The President does.

You and I don't have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does.

You and I don't write the tax code, Congress does.

You and I don't set fiscal policy, Congress does.

You and I don't control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does.

One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one President, and nine Supreme Court justices 545 human beings out of the 300 million are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.

I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central bank.

I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason. They have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a senator, a congressman, or a president to do one cotton-picking
thing. I don't care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash.

The politician has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator's responsibility to determine how he votes.

Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of party.

What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No
normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who stood up and criticized the President for creating deficits. The President can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it.

The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes. Who is the speaker of the House? Nancy Pelosi.
She is the leader of the majority party.

She and fellow House members, not the President, can approve any budget they want. If the President vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if they agree to.

It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million can not replace 545 people who stand convicted -- by present facts -- of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can't think of a single
domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.

If the tax code is unfair, it's because they want it unfair.

If the budget is in the red, it's because they want it in the red .

If they do not receive social security but are on an elite retirement plan not available to the people, it's because they want it that way.

There are no insoluble government problems.

Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power. Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like "the economy," "inflation," or "politics" that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.

Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible.

They, and they alone, have the power.

They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses.

Provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees.

We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess!

TRANSPARENCY

TRANSPARENCY.

Every government contract and bid should be available for the public to view BEFORE any money is spent. There would be plenty of citizens who would love to review these documents and point out ways to save money.

For example, if a contractor is charging $1.00 for a receptacle then someone could point out you can buy them cheaper at Lowes or Home Depot.

Another benefit this would have is that it would level the playing field. It would be very hard for the Good Ole Boys to award contracts to their buddies.
